'Shanti' translates as 'peace' in both Gujerati, Hindi and Urdu. We meet once a month on a Tuesday evening at Melbourne Hall and sometimes in people's homes to enjoy a time of fellowship together. We enjoy singing praises to God in our native tongues and are blessed by messages from various speakers on subjects such as 'The Unknown God', 'Titles of the Lord', 'Be ye strong in the Lord' and 'Forgiveness'. Through this work Mr Bassett, our Pastor, has appeared on Asian television, his message being translated into the relevant languages. He is the first English Pastor to have done this. We praise God for the privilege of being able to openly speak about Jesus Christ to many people of other faiths. |
