Young Worshippers is primarily for children of families attending the church on Sunday mornings. Children aged 3 to 8 years old leave the main service immediately following the offering and meet in the lounge for approximately 45 minutes (the second half of the morning service) for a simple children's service. We begin with prayer followed by 3 or 4 hymns or choruses. We have a memory verse from the Bible each week, which we learn and the children are encouraged to, and are rewarded for remembering the verse the following week. For our Bible time we work from a syllabus aiming to cover much of the Bible in 4 years. This is followed by a take home activity sheet that is strongly related to that which we have learned in our Bible talk. This is a happy time and we pray for a profitable time for the future lives of our children.
